Warm soup, fuzzy blankets, movies, and books…with a quiet house. Doesn’t that sound relaxing? My kids have given me their head cold; so between that and the spring windy and rainy weather we’re having, I’d be okay with a down day. Instead there is no school, so all the kids are home, and we’re out of cereal and need more tissues. I think I might brave a grocery store visit in a little bit.
Really though, now that I got dressed, I can get things done. Whenever I stay in my pj’s I move a lot more slowly and don’t feel near as productive. So here’s to a happy Friday despite some nose blowing!
Since we’re all hanging low, I might as well get some cooking done too. I need to make some granola so I can make more of this healthy apple crisp again.
I love this dish for several reasons: there’s no added sugar (on top of the honey in the granola), it feels healthy but is a treat, it incorporates homemade granola, and it has soft warm apples in it.
Make this, find a good movie at redbox, and have a great Friday night in!
